Welcome to Jincook Santa Monica

General Info

Tucked along 3001 Wilshire Blvd Unit 103 in Santa Monica, Jincook Santa Monica feels like the kind of Korean restaurant you stumble into once and immediately add to your regular rotation. The moment you walk in, the space has that warm, cozy vibe that makes you want to sit down, browse the menu slowly, and settle in for a comforting meal. It’s also easy to get to, and the wheelchair-accessible car park and free parking lot make the location even more convenient, especially during busy dinner hours.

What stands out right away is how homestyle the food feels. The Beef Bone Broth is one of those dishes you don’t forget-rich, soothing, and clearly simmered long enough to build layers of flavor. It’s the kind of bowl that hits perfectly on a chilly day, and it sets the tone for the rest of the dining experience. Right after that, the Marinated Dumplings (6pcs) bring a savory punch with a slightly chewy texture that pairs well with pretty much anything else you order.

As you move through the menu, the Bibimbap Hot Stone is another must-try. The sizzling stone bowl keeps the rice crisp and toasty at the bottom, and once you mix everything together, the flavors come together in a way that feels both balanced and deeply satisfying. If you're craving something heartier, the Pork Katsu with Curry delivers a crunchy coating with a mild, comforting curry sauce that tastes like something straight out of a home kitchen. And for those who love sharing plates, the Seafood Korean Pancake is golden, tender, and packed with enough seafood to make every bite interesting.

Throughout the meal, the service stays friendly and relaxed. Jincook Santa Monica accepts debit cards, and alcohol is available if you want to enjoy a drink with your food. Guests often mention in their reviews how easygoing the atmosphere is, which matches my experience as well. It’s the kind of place where dinner feels unrushed, and the staff seems genuinely happy to have you there.

Whether you're exploring new locations in Santa Monica or revisiting places you love, this spot is worth keeping on your list. With its comforting dishes, convenient services, and consistent quality, it offers a dining experience that feels both authentic and welcoming.

What customers say?

“ Jincook is easily a 10 out of 10. The food is mouthwatering delicious and the ambience is all time. Really great date spot, good music and amazing vibe. What really stood out more than anything else, though, was the absolutely outstanding service that we had. The staff were beyond friendly and gracious, all smiles. It felt like eating at one of your best friend’s houses. Thank you, Jincook! We look forward to dining here again. ”

“ I didn’t know of this restaurant before, despite familiar with the sundubu. We waited quite a long time, almost 30mins, the wait list was quite long. The broth was savory, with mild level it was not spicy at all. The banchan was fresh, but there were not many options. Price was reasonable. The servers were very attentive and welcoming and we were satisfied. Highly recommend this location! ”

“ Pretty uncommon finding Korean food around this area and yes, it's recently opened one. Admittedly, I'm not huge fan of K-food, but yeah giving it a chance following the big crowd I was with (unpopular opinion but hey everyone has preference ;) ). The place looked pretty busy on dinner time, but not that long until we got seated; totally not bad for group of 12. Starting with Marinated Dumplings, which opened the course nicely with flavorful dumplings came in sweet and spicy soy-based sauce. Being a cheese-holic, felt wrong not ordering the cheese katsu. It was decent with filling portion, and stuffing it with jalapenos was great idea to give extra spicy kick. The curry itself was good but wouldn't say it's outstanding. I also expected to get more cheese in the katsu. The braised beef rib (galbi) with extra cheese topping was probably the spotlight on the table, and indeed one of their signature dishes. The beef was juicy and tender with some fats mixed in. The overall sauce was luscious and served in hot stone doubtlessly elevated the dish as it stayed warm. I opted for Hotteok as dessert, yes the Korean pancake filled with honey, nuts, and brown sugar. I unfortunately wasn't into Jin Cook's as it's bit greasy to my liking and it's further topped with chocolate sauce which wasn't my preference for my hotteok. Nonetheless, overall their signature dishes were worth trying. ”

“ It's not every day you find a restaurant where every single dish shines, but Jincook Santa Monica defies the odds. From the moment we stepped in, the service was excellent, with attentive staff anticipating our needs throughout the meal. A special shoutout to Ben, Juanito, and the entire team who made our group feel incredibly welcome and well-cared for. We ordered a delightful array of dishes to share, alongside our individual entrees, and I honestly cannot stress enough how delicious everything was. It's truly rare to find a place where there isn't one or two items that fall short, but Jincook delivered on every front. The portions are gigantic, making it perfect for sharing and ensuring you leave completely satisfied. Our table enjoyed the tender and flavorful Galbi Jjim for two, perfectly steamed dumplings, comforting sundubu, and crispy chicken curry katsu. We also tried the katsu combo, which featured both chicken katsu and the wonderfully unique jalapeño cheese stuffed katsu. And of course, a generous spread of banchan complemented every bite. Jincook Santa Monica is a must-visit for anyone craving exceptional Korean cuisine with top-notch service. ”

“ this place is review worthy! dined in three times and all three times, the food has been incredible and the service even more incredible. i am talking banchan plates never empty, if you’re taking it to go, they box it for you and even add kimchi so you can eat your leftovers properly (mad love for this), and water cups never empty. i have had the seolleongtang, galbi-tang, traditional pork soup, bibimbap, curry katsu dish and all were hearty, good portions, authentic and amazing. this is such a welcomed addition to the west side for those not wanting to make the trek out to ktown. will be a regular. ”

“ Wow!!! This food was seriously so amazing! We stumbled upon this Korean soul food spot after a late night and it did not disappoint! The short ribs were to die for, the dumplings were SOO great as well! Our server Gi was sooo helpful in finding what we’d like on the menu and was genuinely so happy, I can’t wait to come back. Good food and good service, what’s not to like? ”

“ I've always liked Jincook so I was pleasantly surprised to see a location in Santa Monica. I got the tteokbokki with ramen noodles, braised beef short ribs, and kalguksu. Everything was just as I expected. Soft chewy rice cakes, light soup broths, and overall very fresh banchan. A great addition to the neighborhood and it's open late! ”
